Joey started his career in church ministry as a college & singles minister at his hometown church. He then transitioned to education teaching high school students in Birmingham, AL, and coaching football and track. Joey migrated to the business world and has had a 30+ year career in real estate brokerage, building & development.

 

In 2009, following his divorce, Joey attended Divorce Recovery for the first time. The impact was so significant, that Joey began volunteering his time. In 2012 Joey began leading Fresh Start | Divorce Recovery at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis. Having led Divorce Recovery and facilitating groups for over 10 years, Joey started Crossroads Advisors in 2023.

 

In his free time, Joey enjoys riding horses, gardening, grilling, college football, watching classic movies, and spending time with his family.
